Eat Your Veggies Day is June 17th. It is no coincidence that we find this day in the middle of National Fresh Fruits and Vegetables month. Are you regularly asking your children to, “please, just eat your vegetables” or bargaining to try to get them to eat at least one more piece of green. Eat Your Veggies Day is a day where people are encouraged to eat vegetables at every meal, maybe even go vegetarian for day.

May 20th is Pick Strawberries Day, being from San Diego this is a day to look forward to because the one thing better than strawberries is freshly picked strawberries. Strawberries are mostly used for jams or in desserts but are also amazing in salads.

National Chocolate Chip Day is May 15th

May 15th is National Chocolate Chip Day!
Did you know chocolate chips were created at the Toll House Inn in Massachusetts when Ruth Graves Wakefield ran out of bakers chocolate and instead used some chopped up semi-sweet chocolate. Ruth’s chocolate chip cookies were an instant hit in the 1930’s and now they are the classic go to for a sweet treat.
